Looks nice, although I'm semi-worried about the amount of lag produced by having a manor made out of special blocks that fade every five minutes, reform afterwards, emit light, make mobs burn, increase mob drop rates, kill spiders instantly, heal zombies, enlarge zombies, join skeletons and spiders to make spider jockeys, absorb ender dragons...

Also, the stone brick texture should work fine for most of the blocks in your mod. The blocks are defined by shape, rather than texture, which means it's completely acceptable for them all to have the same texture. The items will require unique textures, however.



Otherwise, this looks like an interesting mod.

The lag has been reduced down to the minimal. All aspects that require ticking, are the only ones that actually tick. Whereas aspects that only need to run when a Entity is nearby, will only run if a entity collides or walks over the block.

the stone brick texture should work fine for most of the blocks in your mod

Also textures have been fixed and at the moment I am working on some rendering code for the infusion table to make it more interesting when you infuse a block.

Actually, I believe he says here that you can have only four aspects in one block, and besides, you don't really have to make all those lag-inducing blocks, just have them where needed...

Indeed, it's with all mods really. Also on a side note, aspects that do require ticking. Will only tick every 30 world ticks.

So I've just thought, with Thaumcraft 4 not having the infusion alter and therefore not having warded jars. TC4 may not have Phials included and phials was the item that use infuse the blocks with. I seem to have hit a brick wall, now I don't know for definite, but from the videos posted of TC4. That's the picture it seems to be painting.

I think this mod sounds really neat. It would be a shame to drop it for this reason alone. I hope you come up with a work around. the_j485's idea sounds good.

You better not quit this mod. I am watching you o_O

I concur with this man.

Make a device similar to the Thaumometer in how it can see aspects of blocks/items in the world, but instead of researching it, it absorbs the block/item into it and adds its aspects to the internal storage of said device.

I think I will continue developing the mod with my own test aspects and when thaumcraft is released, then I'll start thinking out a way to get the aspects. But an idea I'm have is that use use a block called the aspect refinery, which allows you to rip chosen a aspects out of blocks/items and the aspects that are not ripped, will be dumped into the aura.

I'm deffiently not going to be dropping this mod, I have been planning it for ages and have got to far into it to quit now.

My Official seal of approval, not thats it counts for squat, this looks & sounds interesting & a mod I would use a lot, will there be a full config for all blocks "ie to ban one if it turns out to be OP" nice ideas, nice mod, great job, maybe work on the textures a little.

Yes, that will be an option in the config options. You'll be able to ban a specific aspect, also a small note on the side. All infused blocks have been condensed down into a single block id.

Yh, I'm not really much of an Artist when it comes to textures and the texture artist who was helping me out, seems to have disappeared. So for now, grey textures will just have to do.
