Thaumcraft 5 aspects

So I was playing Thaumcraft 5 and when I combine aspects in my table they are being used. How do I get them back or learn more? Can I get aspects from aura nodes?

As far as I know, you get a fresh pool of aspects for each new research. You don't have to 'scan more things to gain more aspects' as for previous versions. There are still reasons to scan stuff though.

What do you mean "get a fresh pool of aspects"?

If you take a research note and put it in the table, the pool of aspects that appears on the left is connected to that particular piece of research. If you start a different research note there'll be a new pool of aspects to work with.
