Thaumcraft 4 Research?

I've been playing around with Thaumcraft some, have already researched and completed a few things, but now I'm on to the Deconstruction Table and do not know why the lines are not connecting. From the other ones I've done, this seems like it should work. But it's not. Could anyone explain why? Thanks.

I'm guessing the glowing node on the right is where the line started? the path connecting nodes has to be one straight, unbranching path. So that note is actually impossible

Not impossible. It would have to loop from above, but then need 1 more aspect to fill in the longer link. Most research notes have at least 3 aspects, i see only 2 used.

You should update to ThaumCraft 4.1 though, the whole system changed entirely.

edit: Actually, i see that there are 3 nodes at the bottom that are available for use You only need to connect all circle nodes, all the glowing aspects are not needed to connect to the final path.
