I am having a hard time regaining primal aspects such as ordo. Sure, I can go out and scan a bunch of nodes, but I don't want to be traveling 100's of blocks just to fill my wand/scan them for the aspect. In case I wasn't clear, I'm talking about the aspect inside the research table, not the wand.
I know you can use the deconstruction table, but that's slow :p Help is appreciated :)

Seriously, there is a finite quantity of research points available by scanning blocks and items, and scanning nodes requires 1000's of blocks of travel, not merely 100's.

The deconstruction table is where its at: Make crafting tables and deconstruct those. They are complex enough that each table yields a research point in any aspect except ignis.

Other than that, perhaps you need to look at your research strategies. Try to not combine research point aspects to create more complex aspects if you can help it as each time you do that you loose a potential research point. For example, to create a single point of meto requires combining 24 primal aspect research points. So, try not to use the complex aspects for bridging, but keep them for when they are needed. Build bridges using primal and first tier complex aspects when possible as these are easy to replenish using the deconstruction table.

There's also two other ways to get research points (they're called research points, as far as I know): A moderate amount of Warp will occasionally give you primals for free, but it's slow, does not give you any control over which aspects you get, and comes with all the other side effects of warp.

Also, you can place Ordo crystal clusters and/or infused ores (maybe?) near your research table to occasionally get "bonus" aspects, represented by a little glowy symbol in the corner of the aspect in the table GUI. When you run out of Ordo research points in your personal pool, you can still use the last "bonus" point, which will remove the glowy thing. It'll come back eventually, so you can use it again later on.

Finally, scan every block and item you can find, including those from Thaumcraft and other mods. Expensive blocks tend to have LOTS of different aspects in them, so they're excellent for scanning.

If you want to do the bonus point thing, do it with bookshelves as they grant bonus points in EVERY aspect.

However the bonus points are near useless as they can't be used to purchase research, and I don't believe they can even be used to combine to make another aspect.

In earlier versions of thaumcraft I kept 4-5 research tables near my enchanting table setup and just cycled research notes between the tables (each table has its own pool of bonus points) when I needed a research point I had personally run out of.

knowledge fragments is your answer. they can be found in chests from villages or dungeons, they can be created through Thaumic Exploration and the best option, they can be gotten from killings mobs such as the Crimson Cleric and Knight and Pechs. these knowledge fragments can be used to create research, but they can also be "eaten" just simply right click the knowledge fragments while holding them and they should give you random aspect points for the primal aspects.

Doesn't Magic Bees still have a bee species that makes knowledge fragments?

Deconstruction tables are the way to go. Make 8-10, depending on what primal aspects you need. Use hoppers and feed in crafting tables and charcoal, and bowls, all easy to get from a treefarm. That will get you most everything I think. Then as you're working around your base, just glance over at the tables and retrieve the aspects as they popup. Had to have a bunch going while playing DW20 pack. Ran out of aspects quite early on. Ended up with almost a thousand terra just from casual attention to the tables.

In packs without a lot of machines/blocks with aspects, research is tough for sure. But, most packs have enough different machines/blocks that I end up getting the bulk of my research points by building and scanning.

How do you get the research for creating knowledge fragments?

How do you get the research for creating knowledge fragments?
There is no such research, you can't create them. @Yusunoha described some ways of getting knowledge fragments.
ignore that. I don't actually know anything about Thaumic Exploration, I didn't know you can get knowledge fragments with it

I don't know how to exactly get it, but it's called a "Think Tank" and it requires a brain in a jar in the recipe
