Thaumcraft 4.1 Essentia jars

Hello, all.

I have a question: do essentia jars in thaumcraft 4.1 need a line of sight to the infusion altar? I don't particularly like the look of all the jars stacked up, but I'm not sure If I can hide them underground.

IIRC they do not need line of sight.

Good to know. Now that I think of it, seeing the essentia flow up out of the ground will look pretty cool.

The altar can pull from jars 12 blocks in either the X or Z axis and 5 blocks on the Y axis regardless of whether or not there is a visible path.

Unless you have Technomancy I suggest putting a layer or 2 of candles under the altar and just putting the jars behind walls.
