Oke so i'm in the process of building a pure node on top of my thaumcraft tower. Whilst digging under my base however I found a node in a cave. So I decided to try and move it with the arcane construct thingy like I already did with some other nodes around my place. For some reason however this one just doesn't want to move. I can't trigger the arcane construct even though the wand has enough vis and the construct is set up right.
Is this a known bug with cave nodes or is there something I don't know yet about node moving :)

I don't know of any bugs, but here are some possible solutions:

-Is your wand of the thaumaturge fully charged?
-Is the structure within 24 blocks of the node you wish to move?

The wand is deffinatly charged and I've tried placing the structure as close as 7 blocks towards the node.
really need to get it out of there cause with the flux i'm generating atm (and it looks like it takes ages for it to stabilize) I keep getting wisps inside.

I'm not sure what is going on, but if you can get the main node larger than this one, you won't affect this one anymore, and it should no longer generate flux. In the mean time, encase this one in a 3 block radius to contain the wisps.

Are you sure you are using the right type of obsidian? I think there are two different types that are similar

Looks right to me. You're clicking the crystal core, not the totems, right? Wand has >= 300 vis? Both the bottom and top blocks of each pillar are Obsidian Totem, with no Obsidian Tiles in the mix? Does the wand make a sound when you click it?

2 is definitely the correct number. The entire structure is 3 tall, but the totems have an air block on top of them at the level of the crystal core.

No, I'm completely sure that they have to be 3 tall.
But I can check.

Two tall.
Check for yourself, it's two.

There are two types of obsidian totems I think. I had two types in a chest, and the construct wouldn't activate if I built it with just one. One is the head of the totem I think, and the other is the base. Might be changed though to only be one type.

lemme fix this thread:
its 2 blocks high
is made with 8 "obsidian totem" blocks, not craftable (aka not renewable)
obsidian tiles are just obsidian in a 2x2 pattern in the crafting table/found in the world (aka renewable)

Do I have to prove everything?

As I have said 3 bajillion times:
its 8 obsidian totem blocks, both the lower and the top part:

and its 2 high, not 3:

Now, if you say that I'm wrong, you can go fuck yourself.

I am fully persuaded.

So... is there any reason why it's not working?

Me and some friends have this problem as well.
