I can see the attraction in keeping to a coherent 'theme', though - thus the Magic World pack. Of course, if I remember correctly the Magic World has Thermal Expansion, so that might not be quite as 'pure' as you're looking for. The entire pulverizer-induction line makes the TC furnace obsolete, which is kinda sad. (Double your ores, without any flux whatsoever!)

On a side note, does anybody else feel like Factorization is somewhat more 'magical' than TE?

Double your ORES, sure, but there are plenty of things that can be cooked that don't double.

Have the golems that are running your potato farm dump them in a chest which, using a tech mod, sends them to a chest near your furnace. Then another golem feeds them into the furnace.
Any foods that needs cooked can be done this way, saving you power.
Use it to cook sand or basalt saving you power.

People talk about efficiency but will waste power when they don't have to at times.

I thought factorization was a magic mod?

I guess I need to check out Factorization.

BTW, Ars Magica is really fun so far. Lots of world generated wizard towers, hovels, huts and such.

Also have a nice creepy Brain ina Jar next to your Arcane furnace it will collect XP for you, quite a few of the more machine based furnaces do not supply XP at all, and if you run Ars Magica XP is a very valuable resource.

Of course, there's the awkward fact that you eventually discover what can simply be called Ancient Supertech - that is, the Logic Matrix Programmers, and the exo-suit. The Routers as well are really more supertech than magical... But the more accessible stuff, like the ore pipeline, I think fits sorta well.
