Hardcore players get seriously discriminate with name calling and disrespect, finding no room for Lowend players in there lives. I want to thank you for making a place for lowend users.
I have always advocated the best computer programs are written for everyone. The ideal computer program, if made available to the public should be written for the dumbest user you can imagine. So naturally I assume any program which takes too much trouble too understand and use in spite of the documentation is written wrong.
It is my opinion, any program or modpack designed strictly for hardcore users should say so quite clearly and not be made available to the general public. Any listings of this sort should be separate from the rest.
Minecraft and the associated hardcore modpacks tend to produce servers where you have no choice but to play the hardcore skill levels or leave.
I like a good challenge as well as anyone and I can play with Infitech2 or Infinity Evolved in Expert mode, but only when I am in the mood. I tire easily of massively progressive recipes making me craft every little thing, before I can get close to actually having any fun. (for example, crafting a special machine for the metal alloys of crafting every little part in a pair of wire cutters before you can cut the wires from a plate of metal) Some people love this stuff, I hate it.
Gaming environments like this are in high gear all the time. I argued for years with some of the best in Minecraft, there should be a proper lowend in any modpack to no avail. "That allows too many exploits", they would say. The entire "balance" motivation is based on eliminating cheaters and a lot of other mistrust issues, which has no place on any Minecraft server.
So, please excuse me if I find most hardcore players disgusting. I know there are always exceptions to the rule, so I never assume anyone is disgusting until they actually present themselves this way.
I will do my best to behave myself on your forum, but I would appreciate a little help now and then, if one of these hardcore advocates gets intimidating.
You guys have come a long way since the early and won my respect for what you have been able to accomplish. I have been watching you for a long time.
