So, since this is going F2P soon, I decided to try it out. I used to be big into WoW, but couldn't afford the subscription anymore. I've never played any other MMO's. My current opinions about the game:

  • Holy crap, this game looks way better than WoW.
  • Holy crap, this combat is way more fun than WoW's.
  • Holy crap, this community is even crappier than WoW's (didn't know that was possible).
  • Now I know why they call this game "Waifu Simulator 3000." :p
So, anyone here play TERA? Does it stay fun, or does it die off in later levels? Is the community really this bad or was that just a one off thing?

I haven't played an MMO since I discovered Minecraft but I have heard all of things about TERA, especially combat and the "community." F2P huh? I may have to check it out as I've heard its combat is better even than GW2's, which I really like.

Yeah, that's what attracted me to try it out. It's F2P, and not P2W. The only things you can buy with money are cosmetics, mounts, and consumables. Of those, the only thing that affects gameplay (consumables), you can get through normal gameplay.
