I have attempted to create a way to teleport to my mffs mining platform using the portalgun spawner but when the platform is moved the spawner block cuts in half and right clicking on it causes the game to crash.
Does anyone know a working solution to teleport to the mffs platform?

Do you have Ars Magica 2? If so, then the gateway multiblocks should work just fine. If you only need two gateways (one two-way connection) then you don't even need keystones. The only "hard" part might be getting enough ender pearls, but even that's not so difficult.

The other "hard part" is that the distance between gateways makes them cost more to jump from one to another.

And remember, even if one has thousands of gateways, all one needs is a single keystone with the new system, assuming the gateway doesn't require one like the other keystone lock systems, and that's the one you hold. Only needed two before, 1 for the gateway's that are private, and one for you to access them with.
(since keystones don't make a network, one needed a keystone for every lock, and the one you use to access them anyway, hence why only adding a keystone lock to a private access made MUCH more sense, and now one does that anyway since they use "ghost block" style now)

Expand the field so it moves a block above what it currently moves.
IIRC, portals don't like being moved like that...
E.G. Gregtech: "Hey you touched me wrong!" -BOOM-
The other "hard part" is that the distance between gateways makes them cost more to jump from one to another.
Which is irrelevant if you set up a decent nexus...
I'm referring to AM 1.1.2b, I consider the 1.2 branch a little bit buggy to move into as of yet. However, if that's what you want, then go for it; I'm aware the mechanics may have changed somewhat, so my info may be irrelevant.

They have a cap on power storage, though. So if you're too far away, it couldn't reach it anyway.

That said, other mods have "frame tested" transport systems.
