What is the mod that changes the recipe for Iron Furnace from the Iron Ingots to Iron Plates
I know its not GregTech Ive done research on that. Any ideas?

IC2 has changed a lot. It incorporates plates into many of its own recipes now.

It can actually be cheaper depending on how you look at it. If you barely have any power, and it is a constant struggle, then you can just use a hammer to make the plates, rather than smelting them. You can also automate it using a Metal Former.

Iron plates basically replaced refined iron.
