TE4 Itemducts

Currently playing Infinity and decided to attempt some automining. Set up a quarry to output to a chest, which works fine. Only issue is that I cannot do anything to the opaque itemducts. Whacking one wigh a crescent hammer will only remove the connection, at which point I need to remove and replace the duct to have a connection, and a pneumatic servo does nothing. How exactly should I use these to extract from a chest?

It seems there's a bunch of new servos. If you NEI the word servo, you'll see them. The tooltips explain which ones do what.

Well, servos provide modifiers.
More speed, more optiona, depending on what you use.
