TC4.1-strange primal charm behaviors?

In Thaumcraft4.1 I have a primal charm I keep in my inventory. I have not gotten around to removing it I got back from a mining trip and some strange things happened. I opened my inventory to grab some food and the primal chsrm had golden text saying "wait, did it just flash a seventh color?" And then I shift clicked (do not remember which mouse button) while it was in my hand and in chat in italic purple text it said "for a moment strange energies surround the primal charm. They dissipitate quickly but you are left strangely inspired..." And now it just says in golden text "it seems to be leaking..."
I am playing Horizons 1.0.10 with TT2 and TTKAMI added, along with morph and sync. AdvancedGenetics and ATG are disabled.

EDIT: I just figured out when the purple text appeared I gained the ability to research the primal wand focus. Any idea what the golden text is for?
 
The golden text is just flavor, probably just to keep you holding onto the charm long enough to get the primal focus unlock
