I'm new to frame machines and didn't think about the possibility of it getting stuck on something so simple.
Is there any way to prevent a frame tunnel bore machine from getting stuck on a natural cobble gen or does it have to be cleared out manually.?

Dig and immediately move forward (buffer gate, or some other mechanism for delaying a pulse 1 tick).

It might take a few tries, but it will bulldoze through.

There was a lovely change in design that is almost never used anymore.
Notice that people first move the frame, THEN move the motor?

instead

1. Pulse frame motor(A) to move frame motor (B) into position where it WILL contact a not gate. Same pulse fires the redstone frubes to get the blockbreakers.
2. Takes 16 ticks for that frame motor (b) to finish moving. On the 17th tick the notgate is still on. It will activate and slide the entire frame forward. Gravity blocks have not normally started to fall, and your frame is already moving forward.

This bore moves so fast, nothing stops it.
I've actually used that design on my frame quarry, before the changed energy mechanics. The problem with it is that if a movement cannot be made, frame motor B will have been moved, and cannot move the frame forward. The not gate doesn't pulse at all, so the frame machine jams.
