i am going to make this simple and hopefully should be my last post for a while but so far i got a ton of help which is great.

Taint spread is of in the server i am on, but the server owner wants me to see if i can turn the biomes back to normal or a magical forest, Well i have put down Ethereal Blooms as well as a few silverwood saplings which i grew with the hoe of growth and got some with nodes in them. well How long if anyone knows does it take for the biome to change\revert, i know that with the blooms the area must be loaded for them to work, but as for the tree's no idea. Has anyone ever found out a time frame for reversion or change or must taint spread be on?

Ethereal bloom will change it back to original biome
Pure nodes in trees will change it to magical forest
So only using one of the 2 will be faster(bloom will concentrate on taint rather than trying to switch magical forest back and vice versa), blooms are faster than trees(I think)
Needs to be chunk loaded for either to work

Ah so if i want a magical forest i should use just silverwood tress with a pure node in them and have the place chunk loaded, and not use the blooms, i did not know that part. Do you happen to know how long it takes typically for either method is it random?

Not a clue but I would imagine not very long, maybe overnight in real time. More pure nodes will do it faster, one node does about a chunk in area centered on the node.

Blooms are quite fast. I would say from my experience that they probably have done their work in their 17x17 area in about an hour while being chunkloaded. But it is a bit random which blocks they pick so you will want to leave it for longer to make sure it does them all(or manually check them all).

Silverwood trees are a lot slower from my experience. And again it is random which blocks they convert so just give it plenty of time to make sure to leave it for long enough. Perhaps even use several overlapping trees to speed things up/ensure full conversion.

Ethereal Blooms only do a 15x15 area - the same area that a pure node converts.
I know this because it offends my ocd as I cannot lay them out aligned with chunks.

Ahh that could be. Only knew it was an 8 block radius. Wasn't sure if it was including the origin block or not.

Hmm ok its been a while so thought i should ask this to clarify. I am on a server where taint spread is off, i planted about a dozen silverwood trees that have pure nodes in them, Now will it convert the tainted biome to a magical forest biome if its loaded of course so the trees can work? Or it is better to use the ethereal blooms and just rid the taint and not worry?.. i would like to turn it to a magical forest but if i need a ton of trees it would not be worth it.
