a decent graphics card, a decent CPU and 4/8GB of Ram,
My laptop runs FTB unleashed at max settings, its got a 3rd Gen Core I5, Dedicated Nvidia Geforce 720M graphics and *GB Ram.

the requirements can differ though because you can, for example, turn off particle effects in the settings and reduce render distance to improve performance

I currently have a Core i5 running oc at 4.4ghz paired with a Radeon 6850 and 8gb of ram. It runs FTB very good, I usually play the direwolf20 pack, but over time as you build up your world you will see fps drops eventually.

Althought the person above me has a laptop I would not recommended one for gaming unless space is and issue or you need it for portability. I would always go for a desktop system because you will get a better system for a a lot less.

i agree, i only gave the spec of my laptop because they always have lower specs than their desktop cousins.
my desktop rig is a 3rd gen Intel core i5 OC to 4Ghz with a radeon HD 7950 and 16GB ram. it can run both an FTB server with 10 players and me as a client at the same time. suffice to say i wont need to upgrade for a while...

After all, a better computer wont stop fps drops. Since it`s java and multiple mods thats not designed to work together, you will always have fps drops

Sitting in a meeting ;)
