switching Mode (on IC2 Items) issues

While playing with ftb on the 1.4.2 beta I've encoundered the issue, that you're not able to switch modes on IC2 items such as steh electrical wrench or the jet pack.

Usualy, as you know, that's done by holding the m-key and rightclicking, or holding space and pushing the m-key.
On ftb the M-key is used to open the minimaps menu, so I switched it to anything other (N). But it still doesn't work.
Also I've assinged it in the controlls-options in the esc-menu.

Does anyone have an idea, why it doesn't work?
 
Yeah, the IC2 mode key is beeing a bit tricky and won't work on M for some reason.
If you rebind the minimap back to M and then rebind the IC2 mode switch to N instead it should work again.
 
Ouch. Lucky you. Not yet for me. I'll try some combination of "change to default", "key rebinding" and logging out vodoo. In hopes it finally holds. *sigh*
