So I'm running monster 1.1.1, and I've added a few things (nothing that should affect biomes though). I'm using ATG and BoP, just like Monster does, and I've found a problem that I don't know what to do about. Every time there SHOULD be a beach, I have swampland instead. So like, I'll have an ocean, and all around it where it meets land, there will be swamp. It just makes for a really gross world. Does anyone know why this happened, or how I could fix it? Thanks for the help!

Is it really ocean or does it count as a lagoon?

You're likely looking at a feature of ATG methinks.

From ftbwiki/MCF:
Vanilla generation creates "blobs" of land within the world and assigns random biomes to each, shuffling them around a bit to add rivers and such. The height and shape of terrain within these areas is determined by the biome, not the rest of the world.
ATG completely changes this, instead creating height, temperature and moisture maps for the world and deriving the final biome based upon those. Higher areas are colder, areas away from the sea and where the temperature is high tend to be dryer.

So, height+moisture+temperature = swamp.

I play on a server running modified DW20 and uses ATG. All the beaches are a interesting combo of mud and marsh and swamp.

If you head South you should encounter more beaches with sand. In the colder climates you encounter more swamp shorelines. My server on Monster 1.1.1 has ATG worldgen with BOP enabled and I have lots of sandy shoreline, and lots of swamp & bayou as well.

^^ that slipped my mind... We had to abandon parts of the world due to taint, and we did have gravel and sandy beaches there :)

Ohhh very interesting. I read about stuff like that, but didn't realize the practical application. Thanks!
