Survival Mystcraft World Construction Help?

Ever since the new Mystcraft dimension creation update, I have been stumped on what symbols are absolutely necessary. I know I need my biome and biome modifier, I know I need fog color, I know I need terrain Gen, I know I need my Sun and modifiers for eternal day, I know I need bright. Are there any other all important world details I have forgotten? Summary:
  • Biome stuff
  • Fog color stuff
  • Terrain Gen stuff
  • Sun and modifiers for Eternal Day
  • Bright
  • Other stuff I am forgetting

You should just turn off instability. It's going to be your only age, right?

What would be cool for your server is to make it Eternal Night though. Even though it's haven of light, making the city be superbright in deep contrast with the rest of the world would add an effect that would be really cool.

No, this is for my survival world. I just want to make sure it doesn't put in anything that I might not want. Is there anything I need that I have forgotten?

Oh....

I have no idea, test it in creative, and if you...well...die, then you know it didn't work.
Poison, falling meteors, and decay will tell you if you can live in it or not. :p

I have instability turned off. I just need to know if I am forgetting any symbols that are important.

Give it a test and see if it works. MystCraft will add randomized symbols if you've forgotten any (which will add instability in a situation where that is enabled), as well as some random symbols every now and again.

In an effort to get this thread back on topic...

if I have Dark Sun, Noon, Zero Length, Dark Stars, Dark Moon in that order, will it be right? Or have I messed up the order?
also, would be really really amazingly cool if someone could write a nice mystcraft bookwriting guide

I believe you'd want your noon and zero length in front of the dark sun (modifiers, and then modified object), but I may be mistaken.

Also, make sure to toss a clear modifiers at the end of the book either way, just in case. It is a terrain bug, but it is worth doing as a matter of habit.

Yeah, that'll do. I've found two pages thus far, and have yet to take up KirinDave's dare of making a descriptive book sans symbols. I'm going to have to, though, because I've been dared (I think it may have even been a "double dog dare").

any age I've ventured into has always had a large cobble building with a ton of books in it and like 3-4 pages right near where the entrance to the age is... not sure if those will occur in standard descriptive books though

My hope is that they do, and I can loot them before I end up getting exploded randomly, or hit by a meteorite. I like the idea of raiding unstable worlds for symbols.
