Suggestions on new GPU for Recording and Streaming.

Here are my specs to my pc
Amd FX - 6350 , 6 Core 3.7 Ghz
8 Gb of ram this will be pushed to 16 GB when I get my new GPU
1 SSD 120Gb samsung
1 HDD 1Tb
GPU AMD HD 6950 unlocked to a 6970

So I am thinking about a Nvidia gtx 980 ? How well will this work compared to what I have right now any inputs? I am pushing about 30 - 40 fps while recording on any server and I run my server on my pc as well.
So ya just some suggestions guys would be appreciated thank you!

If you plan on spending enough money for a GTX 980, I'm sure an i7 + Motherboard would be a much better upgrade for you. Minecraft benefit very little from a GPU upgrade. I had a Radeon HD 5850, and upgraded to a R9 290 and barely noticed any difference at all. Also, at those resolutions, a GTX 980 would be waaay overkill.

I need a GPU to render farther distances while recording. My friend has 2 770s and man his stuff renders crazy far. He has like 0 lag at all and we have the same Processors he also has 8gb more of ram though. So idk I talked to a youtuber and he said he has GTX 980's let me correct myself I am not gonna get a gtx980 now there like $500 haha I must have been looking at the gtx970 I had a big derp derp sorry.
