Suggestions on a multiplayer pack?

I'm looking for a good pack for me and a few friends to play. A while back I had heard talk of a pack being made that was going to have multiple races and classes. And what you chose was going to effect which mods you had access to as far as building stuff. That seems like an awesome idea for a co-op pack. Is there anything like that out there now?
