Any official words on system requirements?

From experience you seem to often require 64-bit (OS and Java) to run the Launcher/mods now. It's strange, but often an issue occurs because of things such as having a 32-bit java (on 64-bit OS), and upgrading to 64-bit java just resolves all issues.

Because of this I'm wondering, is there no longer support for 32-bit?

An official word/post on some requirements would be swell.

There is support. It is not simply that upgrading to 64bit fixes it. Upgrading Java to 64bit allows the user to allocate more than 1GB of RAM to Minecraft so you get better performance from adding the RAM if it is available. Please only allocate at most more than your maximum RAM - 2GB. Leave some for your OS and other programs.

Minecraft (and by extension, FTB) is one of those games that doesn't have system requirements. And as lavarthan has said, 32-bit should not cause any issues (although there is no good reason to not get 64-bit). As shown by this page, people get vastly different performance with similar hardware. Just a suggestion though, don't allocate as much RAM as you can. You really only need about 1GB, and Java has this thing where it uses as much as it can, but will perform just as well with 32GB as 4GB.
