As the title says I'm looking for some suggested mods for a single player (maybe eventually two or three players) for a modpack based on monster.
Tech or magic or utility what mods do you like so I can take a look?
I'm not really looking for difficulty increasing mods (hunger overhaul, spice of life etc) but mob variety is a possibility (Project of Gaia 2)

First up I'm looking at some that require worldgen (eg Ars Magicka 2 or at least it used to haven't touched 1.2) and then ones that can be added down the line at my own leisure.

If the mods are currently in another pack added bonus.

Thanks for your time and looking forward to the suggestions!

Edit: Removed list, most of its commonplace anyway

What about Galacticraft? I believe that's not in monster by default but it is a very interesting mod.
Also Mekanism is a good tech mod. I would personally add that too.

Will take a look at galacticraft, and I though Mekanism was in by default, I'll have to see.

As far as I know Mekanism isn't in monster. I had to add it myself.
Yep did the check and found that out, Both seem good to tinker with should have a bit to do when I finally get back in game, been a good while since I had a nice minecraft delve.

These are some small stuff I add to Monster myself:
  • GraviSuite
  • Redstone In Motion
  • GravityGun
  • Carpenter's Blocks
  • IC2 Recipe Fixer Mini mod: Link
You should also update Enhanced Portals 3 to: EnhancedPortals-1.6.4-3.0.0b5e, to fix the issues with the inventory desync bug when using the portal UIs.

qCraft is in Monster as far as I know. In addition to what's been said, I recommend adding Forbidden Magic-it adds some fun toys and some cross-mod shenanigans for wands and other things. (Transcendent Blood Orb anyone?) Simply Jetpacks is another good mod to add-it provides a tiered, RF powered jetpack system if you're more of a fan of RF power

'tisn't. You can get a 1.6.4 or even a 1.6.2 version.
I'll have to delve deeper then. Thanks
Edit: One of the dependencies has a 1.7 page, instead of just scrolling down a bit more to find the 1.6.4 version I looked at that lol
Edit2: Hoo boy, the amount of post init ID's it loads due to all the molten metals makes an amazingly fun ID fixing time.

Millenaire of course... if i works... i dont know.. im a viking.. stupid yes... ugg ugg
Millienare, its been a long while since I've seen any sort of 'town' mod anywhere. I shall have to for nostalgia sake. (tbh I'm surprised its updated for 1.7 let alone 1.6.4)
Edit: Checked properly, and it went from 1.5 -1.7.2 :( so when I jump to 1.7 shall have to.

All simple but good suggestions shall do. :)

I've added Qcraft either manually or it was there. Forbidden magic, always been a meant to, never gotten around to. And simply jetpacks sounds good enough. I do use TE3 for ore processing usually so it will work out.

Traincraft, ICBM, and Reliquary. Traincraft for fancier looking railways, ICBM for turret guns and bombs if you are interested and reliquary for useful tools. I especially like the coin that attracts dropped items and the wand that places torches long-distance.

Will take a look at traincraft, Isnt reliquary standard in Monster? I'll take a look because that coin is pretty damn amazing. ICBM will go in for that chunk regenning bomb I read about somewhere ;)
