Sudden FTB Lag

Hey I'm having some trouble with my FTB lately.... I can play it smoothly on 50 fps until all of a sudden I get a massive fps drop down to a max of 15 fps. When I am in-game and push F3 to look at used memory (top right corner) it gets to around 1700MB and then just resets to 200MB and my framerate drops. I have 3.75 GB allocated memory so I don't know why it happens. I've tried lowering my graphics settings, but even on minimal I still have this issue. If anyone knows how to deal with this, advice would be greatly appreciated.

Would you please post your console log to pastebin.com and link it here? There may be something in there that will help us diagnose this.

Alternatively, you can give Eyamaz's JVM arguments a try to see if that helps you, since it sounds like you're having Java garbage management issues, and his JVM arguments help with that.

It looks like a stone brick or an item drop might be causing the issue.

Every time I've ran the game the lag hits within 5 minutes of playing, and it's never shown 'supress list is growing' until the very last session I ran.

Try updating your GPU drivers, and failing that, try seeing if you have any CPU-Intensive apps running at the same time.

I have updated my graphics drivers, and there are no apps running in the background at all. And yet I still get this lag hit.

See if your GPU is set to be the default graphics device used? I know some machines have a preference to the integrated GPU instead of the graphics card, which can cause a lot more heat and is inefficient.
