SUC Reactors.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something horribly wrong or what, but I seem to be unable to pump water buckets into a reactor. Is this something that a mod has changed from the original IC2? I apologize if this is a stupid question, I'm coming from tekkit..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IC2 has changed how nuclear reactors work since the version in tekkit, take a look at the current documentation:

They don't use water or ice for cooling any longer... Not sure why water wasn't still used, they stated the new setup was to make it more realistic. Can't recall one reactor in real life that doesn't have water being pumped through it as a coolant... Anyway, look in NEI you will see all the new items.

Molten salt reactors.

I just pretend the reactor has a sodium coolant loop and thermophotovoltaic cells inside the block.
