I can open the launcher, I can launch the game, but once it gets to the Mojang Splash Screen... it stops. I know that it takes a while for it to load, but over 20 minutes seems a bit excessive. FTB has been a bit erratic for me-- last time this happened, I uninstalled the entire thing and reinstalled it. I got it to work for one session, only to have it kick out on me again.

Here's the pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/tjkb54Dr
It has the entire issues listed, but the most recent one is right at the bottom if you want to skip all the drama from before. I don't know what my Java verison is, or my FTB version is, but I'm fairly certain I'm all up to date. What should I do?

Thank you for your time.

Some helpful ideas...
  1. Uninstall / Rollback Java JDK and install Java JRE (JDK is for making Java, JRE is for using)
  2. In the options tab,
    • Set the instal folder to "C:\FTB\"
    • Can you give the launcher more ram?
Hopeful this helps, if not, please post the new console log.

Does it crash, or just sit their forever?

Giving the launcher more RAM has fixed the problem entirely! Thank you so much for your help. :)

Hi guys,

I have tried everything as listed as above and having the same problem! I only have a max of 2gig RAM!
Any idea on how to fix it or any help that can be given. I'm pretty new to this!

Okay lets make sure exactly what your problem is as you are bumping an old thread where the user's pastebin has been removed.

You are on a Mac.
You are freezing at the mojang screen.
You have Java 7 not 6 on your Mac.

If both those are true you must either downgrade your Java to 6 or update your lwjgl. Follow this guide, 3rd section, to downgrade to Java 6 and this one to update your lwjgl. Substitute the ~\Library\Application Support for the mod pack folder. You must upgrade your lwjgl in each of the packs you wish to use if you wish to keep Java 7. Each pack contains its own version of lwjlg.
