The download when you want to update/download a mod pack, seems to be stuck for me. Everything is fine, except 2 things:
1. This is a small clip of my console log
[16:33:57] [INFO] ModManager.upToDate:216: Modpack is out of date.
[16:33:59] [INFO] ModManager$ModManagerWorker.downloadModPack:111: Downloading Mod Pack
[16:33:59] [INFO] DownloadUtils.getCreeperhostLink:68: http://england1.creeperrepo.net/dir...6/modpacks^YogCraft^1_0_0^YogCraft_Client.zip
the last download its trying to make, does not work, so i tried to manually download it, and extract it to my FTB folder (which i think is done correctly)
2. When number 1 is done, it ask me if i want to download, if i press "no" nothing happens except "do you want to update" window closes, and all of the launchers buttons, become grayed out, so i cant press them, or vanilla 1.4.7 minecraft pops up, with no mods included. If i then press "Yes" instead (ofc after a redownload, and everything is clearded [Documents, folders and Jars] and step one is repeated) A "Downloading..." window pops up with a gray bar, and nothing happens ( I tried waiting for 3 hours, still nothing happened) When i then close down the "Downloading..." window, its just like i pressed the "no" in the first place.

This is really annoying me.
Heres a link to my PasteBin thing ( I dont really know what it is...) http://pastebin.com/K0AqS3za
Please help

I think this is happening to me to on other modpacks when I try to Update or download a new one. The little "downloading modpack... please wait" thing pops up but nothing is happening visually and it seems to be doing nothing at all.

I'm able to download any modpack fine, it may have been a temporary server outage. Try again and check status.feed-the-beast.com
It may also be your firewall or antivirus, I primarily use linux and don't use either when in windows so I'm not sure how you would do this. You could just temporarily disable it entirely though while it's downloading.

I had this same problem, and after looking at countless forum posts nobody had the answer. Apparently Rasi figured it out, but that jerk couldn't be bothered to help the rest of us after he solved his problem. That's the sole reason I made an account here, so I wouldn't be the guy who left everyone else to rot after I solved the issue. There's a chance that what I discovered won't fix everybody's problem, but seeing as nobody else has even suggested this, and as soon as I changed this it worked immediately, I'd say there's a pretty good chance this is what's causing the issue.

YOU NEED TO HAVE JAVA 6 INSTALLED.

The newest version of Java, Java 7, is what is causing the issue. Here is a step by step guide to fixing the problem:

1 - Go to Add/Remove Programs in your control panel, or if you have Windows 7 just type Uninstall into your Start Menu and choose Uninstall a Program.
2 - Scroll down until you find Java and check your version. If you have Java(TM) 7 Update (Anything) installed, that is your issue. Uninstall EVERYTHING JAVA RELATED, including any updates.
3 - Download the installer for Java 6. As of today you can find it here: http://java.com/en/download/manual_v6.jsp . Download the 32-bit or 64-bit version depending on your system.
4 - Install Java 6. Go ahead and use the default install settings unless you know what you're doing.
5 - Try running Feed the Beast normally. It should actually download the modpacks now.

IF THESE INSTRUCTIONS HELPED YOU SOLVE THE PROBLEM, PLEASE SHOW YOUR GRATITUDE BY GOING BACK TO ANY FORUMS YOU PREVIOUSLY VISITED AND COPY/PASTING THIS FIX THERE. I DO NOT NEED TO BE CREDITED, I JUST WANT TO HELP ANYBODY ELSE WHO IS EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE.

There is no worse feeling than seeing a thread where somebody with the exact same problem as you posts "I figured it out, thanks guys!" You end up screaming at your screen "HOW?! WHAT DID YOU DO!", but no force on earth will bring them back to that forum once their own problem is solved. Don't be that person. If you figure out the solution to a problem go back and tell everybody what you did. The people of a forum helped you out by providing suggestions, and it's likely that someone else out there will have the same problem you do. Pay it forward, post your solution.

You're all welcome.

Keep in mind, only use java 6 if your on a MAC, with windows and most *Nix systems java 6 will cause more errors then it solves.

I use Java 6 exclusively on most of my Windows systems, and it works fine for almost everything. Java 7 is buggy as hell and many applications (like FTB) fail because of constant updates and because they were made to work with Java 6. Obviously you should be aware that you aren't using the latest version of Java and keep in mind that they are no longer updating it, but there is nothing wrong with using Java 6.
