Stuck at the splash screen

I've been staring at this screen for an hour as the colors saturate and desaturate.
I don't know if it's trying to reach the server for confirmation or not but it worked okay before this
What should i do?

same here. just updated the vanilla launcher to get rid of the "new launcher version" nag screen, now stuck at ftb screen. also tried re-installing ftb from the latest version available, (the linux .sh file). no change

Went back to the old launcher and works beautifully.
I'll update when this is fixed

heh, just did the same
