What is the bug? (version is 1.0.1)
Got some wood, noticed some random tracks around, then noticed a spawner, some dark wood + fences, etc..

Mineshaft showing up in the forest/dessert.

This is a vanilla function. Mesa biomes has a ton more gold too ^^.
