Stoneblock 2 keeps freezing.

The first day I played stoneblock 2, I had no issues. Afterward, after 2-10 minutes the game screen will freeze. If I press ESC then the cursor pops up. I can leave a server by pressing the quit on the pause menu by memory, but still, the screen is frozen. I can even still move and do things in the game but again, the screen is frozen. The only way to fix it so far is to relog (which takes 8 minutes at the least), but the freezing will happen again within 2-10 minutes. I have redownloaded the FTB app, Minecraft, and even java but to no avail. This issue is so persistent it makes playing nearly impossible. Please help.

Have you gone into the settings of the mod pack you're using (in the FTBapp) and switched the Java version to Oracle 1.8 JRE (64bit)?

I would freeze every once in a while until I changed the Java Version over, which leads me to thinking that the Mojang built-in version seems to have issues.
