I did put in a support ticket, but I thought I would post here as well in case someone other than FTB staff has input.

My keys get stuck in any given direction. It happens every other second. WASD, shift, everything. When I need to bring up my inventory, I sometimes have to press the key twice to get it to respond.

I uninstalled both FTB and Java, reinstalled them, and updated the LWJL thing as directed in one of the forum tutorials.
It also happens in single player. I also run the game as admin, as it wont run otherwise.

Any ideas?

Ashzification is the main person running the help desk, she is very knowledgeable and can likely help more than I could.

Can you provide a console log from when you run the game? It doesn't matter if there are no visible errors, we just get a lot of helpful info from it.

Should I leave the console open and then move around, and once the sticking occurs copy the log and link it here?

Not sure about the sticking keys see my silly thoughts below if you want, but I thought I'd help with you having to run it as an admin. If you move the FTB folder outside the Program Files folder and onto say your desktop you can run it without being an admin. Be sure to change the 'Install folder...' inside the Options tab if you move the folder. This is caused by windows starting with vista, I will not go into great detail suffice it to say it is a MS security feature.

As for the sticky keys here is a thought. Do you have anything else running in the background? Maybe something else is taking the focus of your keyboard away from minecraft.

I always run teamspeak and hulu along side minecraft. I also use a program called GameBooster by Razer.

I have done this since the first time I ran minecraft,... This issue is all of the sudden.

The install settings that work for me are: Install folder set to C:\FTB, with the launcher in My Documents\Games. Something similar to that, or with the launcher on your desktop should work.

Have any of the programs running in the background updated recently?

The only updates I have had have been a Microsoft Security update and Flash. And I think over two weeks ago TS, but this problem is more recent than the TS update.

Is this only in minecraft that your having this issues? (Minecraft as in FTB... What about vanilla?)

My keyboard is wireless but has new batteries. It died last week in the middle of playing minecraft.. I haven't tried vanilla. I shall now.

My windows picture is the "eye" of a Tachikoma.

Nope. Not happening in Vanilla.

And no, I'm too lazy to upload the image XD I just cropped it out of a highres image of a Tachikoma. It's what happens when I get bored. :p

I'm at a loss, the only thing I can think of has already been mentioned that something is stealing the focus from FTB causing it not to register that your not holding the key any more.... unless... is sticky key turned on?

Oh no, disabled. I double checked to be sure just now. In the morning I'll uninstall FTB and reinstall it to a different directory. C:\FTB\ as suggested.

So this morning with a fresh reboot, without starting anything else.. And it's not happening anymore. I think you're right about something else taking priority.

Here is what I did different this time: Rebooted, started Minecraft, and tested moving around. Everything was fine. Started GameBooster, tested moving around.. Everything continued to be fine. Then the same with TeamSpeak and Hulu. All fine. Closed Minecraft, restarted it. All was still well. All IS still well.

So maybe before starting anything else from now on I will just start Minecraft.
