I am creating a free web tool that handles the automatic installation of the latest mod pack versions easily on servers. This is an issue a lot of people seem to have where I work, why this tool would save us constantly having to manually update mod packs as well as simply our customers lives.
When doing manual FTB Mod Pack installations in the past however, I have occasionally ran into the problems, even loading the mod packs onto a fresh vanilla MC server, where they would fail to start for various reasons (all types of different errors).
Can I get confirmation on any specific details that may need to be noted? The tool already scans the server and suggests first removing directories that exist if they match those in the mod pack archive to be installed. I would like to make sure that it is relatively safe just to copy the folders & JAR file into the root directory though and launch, where this has posed the aforementioned problems in the past.
