Is there a guide, video, or tutorial on how to set up a Steam Boiler system that has perpetual energy and such, that can power your house?

So you can't get perpetual energy with a Steam Boiler using Thermal Expansion + RailCraft, without using Netherrack (Would require a Nether Quarry, too much work :p)?
That's a bummer. I really <3 Lava, and the idea of an entire base powered by a tentacled mass of Steam Pipes sounds amazing. ^.^

Any other ways I could get a Steam Boiler system that produces more energy than it requires to run nonstop? I'm thinking BioFuel with a Liquid Boiler, though I was hoping I didn't have to put a Farm near my Boiler (crowded/less pretty)...
