So i got Monster working after some ram issues. Adjusted the launcher code and it worked. Yay.

So then i tried adding Gregtech to it (which ive heard doesnt make your computer catch fire) and it lanuches and then just closes. No error. No nothing, just quits. Towards the start of the loading process.

Anyone have actual help with this as "drag and drop" didnt work? Is there some issue where i have to install IC2 and Gregtech in Monster even though monster has IC2 already?

2 things.
One: Are you SURE you have the 1.6.4 version of Gregtech?
Two: Can you give us your Forgemodloaderclient-0 log? Use paste.ubuntu.com if it is too big for pastebin.

Yeah, you have a 1.7 version of Gregtech. You can download the TPPI pack in the 3rd party tabs to get a 1.6 version of Gregtech.

I tried installing gregtech to Tech World 2 a month or so back. Gregtech doesn't work well with most other mods than IC2, and the console generated a lot of angry messages like "greggy greg please go stuff a sock up" etc, because other devs tried to get compability with the mod and it didn't work out at all.

Im sorry to say, but if you want to play with gregtech you would have to dump quite a few mods for it to work good, like TC and probably a lot more. I like the difficulty gregtech adds, but honestly, you are probably better off without it. Most of the stuff it does is covered in other mods now. For example, the fusion reactor from reactorcraft is 100 times cooler than the gregtech one anyway. :P

1) Thats MFR- theres versions available without Skyboy's "protest" in it. Probably the only one you'll have to dump/change.
The rest would just be config setting/block IDs (TPPI's config might be useful)

2) TC (Thaumcraft)- no known issues. Greg actually added TC intercompatibility in the 1.7 editions.
(Unless you mean TiC (Tinker's Construct), shouldn't cause anything on startup- but ore dictionary stuff doesn't work; might require some config tweaks Tinker's side)

Not exactly true. I have a pack that puts monster to shame. Has BM, Reika's mods, GT, and much more and I got em to work fine together. If you are good at resolving conflicts and whatnot, you can get damn near any mod combination to work. I like the complexity, but once you have a quarry it's game over pretty much regardless of what pack you have.

I ment TiC indeed :P

Brian Cherrick: You are right, it is possible. Just saying it is bit of a bitch. I spent more time trying to get it working than I did accually playing. :P

Think that is understating it a bit, but I know what ya mean.
