Speed items do not work on second player

Hi, I'm currently playing with a friend in my singleplayer game. I've opened the game to LAN and he entered. We can play together quite fine but all speed buffing items like the sash or the dark leggins do not work on him. They are working on my perfectly.

Is this a bug, a configuration problem or a general issue with the sologame?

Thanks in advance for any answer.

Edit: Direwolf20 Modpack in version 1.2 for game version 1.7.10
