Be careful with that i lagged my game out they spawn very fast
Yeah, I forgot last night that I had turned it on. I went to grab something while I build up a few hundred skeletons. I came back to the area and I was slowing down massively. I didn't realize it until I went back over by my drop chute and there were almost 800 skeletons in it. I had gone to a couple of different mystcraft worlds so I don't know how many had despawned since I turned it on.
I only get lag when I get too many mobs though.
Here is my setup.
I have a remote to turn on and off the spawners. At the back of the drop chute I have a transposer hooked up to a .200 second timer that sends all drops into a chest which is then sorted. Arrows/bones go into barrels and everything else goes into a gold chest. The bows are then pumped into a void pipe and everything else loops back around into another gold chest (the armor drops are great for Thaumcraft).
There is a Brain in a Jar to instantly pick up all of the xp instantly.
Killing is done with a splash healing potion.
Once I get to 10 spawners it should only take a few seconds to get lvl 30.
My biggest question really is How much XP can a Brain in a Jar hold?
I have been loading it up and take some every once in a while.
Here is my spawning room. Spawns drop into a water flow that pushes them into a Mystcraft portal which puts them at the top of the drop chute.
And the top of the spawning room.
one way is to use the spawners to add souls directly, the other is to build your xp trap and fill it with the normal spawners and use the spawned monsters to fill the gems (portalgun).
The first is for fast but limited souls, the second for a more "long run" kind, you choose
Mystcraft. Single Biome Plains. Flat. Eternal Day.
All you do is run around hunting the Thaumcraft Mounds (Can't miss them as they are the only terrain that isn't flat), run in and right click the spawners.
It's cheap and should be fixed but it works, at least for Skeletons and Zombies.
