Soul Shard Help

I have a chicken shoul shard lvl 3 i make a spawner and i get an another soul shard and when i kill chickens i don't give me any soul

That is intended Mobs that spawned from a soulshardspawner give no kills for another soulshard

I believe you can't use a soul shard spawners to collect souls. So only naturally spawned or bred mobs/animals can be used for soul shards.
I'm not sure where I heard this, maybe on a live stream, worth looking into though.

The mobs spawned by soul shards are not the same as the ones that spawn regularly, they just look and act almost exactly the same;
For example, they don't drop rare loot.

With passive mobs you can breed them/ use the eggs (if SS chickens lay eggs) to get regular ones to fill up your shard anyway.

Easy way to breed chickens: Feed station with seeds, and a wooden golem collecting eggs into dispenser+timer.
