Soul Cage Problems...

Hi,
recently iv'e been having problems with the soul shards. I have never used the mod before.
I have got a soul shard tier 0, 1 kill.
Is this enough for a soul cage to work, or is it bugged?

Particular attention should be made to the following Line.
"In order to charge your Soul Shard through this method, you must place the Soul Shard on your hotbar."

That is one of the 9 spots that are constantly visible when playing the game. Not one of the spots when you push "E" and Open your Inventory.

No it is not enough for it to work, it needs to be at least tier one, or 64 kills.

All you need to do is get to tier 1 which is 64 Souls.
teir 5 is 1024 Souls
if you right click onto a normal spawner and it matches your shard it will give you 200 souls.

You could also use a sword with the soul stealer enchantment And always remember to have your shard in the hotbar because if it isn't there, it will not charge at all!

Ok, cool. It all works now.
Anyone know how to do a skeleton drowning trap?
Mine doesn't seem to work. They just glitch up into the sky...

Um, go to a swamp and find some quicksand Put it in the second layer like this:

X: air Q: Quicksand S: Spawner W: walls and ground/roof

WXXXSXXXW
WXXXXXXXW

WXXXXXXXW
WQQQQQQW
WXXXXXXXW
WWWWWWW
That way, with the spawner higher than the ground (at least 5 blocks), mobs can spawn at a higher rate.. And they will suffocate in the quicksand Just collect your drops with some trapdoors in the floor or something like so

I use a similar setup, except I put transposers as the floor, so they auto collect the drops.

You could use an Xp turtle or a brain in a jar to collect the exp too (which i highly encourage to avoid lag)
