So I was making a sorting syestem but using a sorting machine pulling things out of an enderchest and then pumping them into painted pipes. I have a timer at .5 seconds next to the sorting machine. It worked fine for a while then I walked away to build something and came back and it had stopped working. I tried re building it and replacing the timer but it still wont work. Any Ideas?

Well for one, there is a mode in the sorting machine that will pull out automatically, so no timers required.(Less lag) And the machine might have stopped because it got jammed

Blutricity Sorter? Must have power? I use a batbox and thermopile for mine.
Did I not need to power them?

Huh. I thought it needed a redstone signal AND bluetricity.

Either way, it definitely needs bluetricity - but as mentioned, a singly thermopile or solar panel should suffice.

Dont use a redstone signal on mine. Not sure if it would speed it up if you did though... Probably. But my ender chest never overflows so no need, default speed is fine.

As Endgamer said, whether a redstone signal is required or not depends on the mode that the sorter is set in.
Alternatively, you can use filters to pull from the chest and run the sorter in an in-line configuration. This requires a timer of course, but the ability to use multiple filters allows the system to process MUCH more quickly.

Depending on what mode the sorting machine is in, it will require a redstone signal. I recommend the mode with a circle of green arrows, which makes it pull out automatically.
As other people have already said, make sure it is getting bluletric power, and also, is there another redstone signal interfering?
The last thing to check would be if any of your chests are full, which will jam the sorting machine because it has nowhere to send the item.

EDIT: Also, screenshots would be nice.
