Those are recyclers? DW20 pulled scrap from the back of them. About 9 minutes or so into it.

I'm not sure what episode he actually adds the recyclers though, episode 13 or so he gets done with the basic sorting room. Episode 14, derp. 25 minutes into it. 30min in you can see his first piece of scrap come out.

With most if not all the IC2 machines you put items in the top to be processed and the product can be retrieved from any of the 4 sides. The bottom can be used to put in and retrieve batteries if your not using some kind of batbox.

That was it, I had to re-work it to pull from the back. It turned into the ugliest tangled up mess I've ever built, but it's working. I plan on re-designing my entire workspace soon though so I'll fix it up later now that I know how to get it to work!

Thanks for all the assistance :)[DOUBLEPOST=1357105319][/DOUBLEPOST]

With BC pipes, I seem to recall I was pulling the scrap out of the bottom of my recyclers in an old beta-a world. I'll have to load it up and see.

I know with BC you could use Sneaky Pipes or Logistic Pipes to pull from any facing. I think I heard that the new RP2 Managers can pull from any side but I may have imagined that, I haven't had a chance to play with them yet.

if you want rp2 tubes work with any machines just remember that:
- input is almost always to the top of machine(except f.e. mass fab which has scrap input from the bottom side)
- output is sides of machines
- bottom is input of fuel (f.e. coal to furnace)
and that's all you have to know about tubes and machines :p
If you wanna watch some tutorials I suggest watching some of dw20 spotlights or LP series. I learnt a lot from him ;)

This is because scrap is fuel to the mass fab. ;)
