Hi again everyone.

I am back for another lets play. RL caught up with me and has finaly settled down. Big things to note is I now have a boxer puppy so thats where lots of my time has been going.

For this LP I am using the Infinity mod pack with a few additions.

Mods that have been added so far are:

Pheumatic Craft
Flazbeard's Steam Power

These 2 mods are something new and I like the ideas in them

Lastly I have added Mekanisem. The only reason I had added Mekanisem is for the ore processing as to get to to top tear takes time and you can make some really cool builds with it.

I am planing on building more this time then last time. Now on to the LP

This is what I see as soon I log in.

Well lets go and look at whats over by the lovely oil

A good place for a my fire hole in the ground

Why cant there be 3 of you

Well I see you all later

So I have been doing a little mining and a lot of lumber jacking for the last few days and have my first house built.

I mined up a large amount of the mossy cobblestone that I saw and planted and deforested a few small forest of dark oaks for the make the house. I chiseled the mossy cobblestone and used dark oak logs for the walls and dark oak planks on the inside floor and roof. When I start working on the inside you get to see it then.

The front of the house

The right side

The rest of the right side and the back

And Lastly the left side witch i ended up taking at night

My next project is to clean up the outside of the house. I don't want to know how many stone shovels and pickaxes I am going to go break getting that done. I am thinking stone retaining walls and some tiered green space and a few small farms hear and there.

Thank you @Mindfeak926 I am trying to more building this time and not living out of 1 small hole in the ground. I am thinking of a cool rail way system nothing as fancy as @rhn in his current world

So I have gone through a very large number of stone shovels and picks but I have finished my retaining walls. I like we way the area has turned out. I also went and found some more sheep so I could make a bed. Well hunting for the sheep I ran into a Great Wood tree with spider webs and I got supper luck with what I got in the chest. I found 5 ender lily seeds. I was a dancing in my chair when I found them.

Now lets got on to the picks

View 1 from the balcony

View 2 from the balcony. You can also see the little dock I made as well.

The stairs down to the dock. I am thinking to change the stairs but not sure to what yet.

One of the Terrace's

Second Terrace looking at 3rd terrace and back retaining wall

From the back retaining wall showing all 3 different levels. I am thinking the lowest Terrace will be for some botania some day as the flowers look so cool

Side of house with the oil that I will be using one day

So now that the outside of my house is done maybe it its time to get down with some real mining and get a few mods going. I am thinking Tinkers and maybe the start of Flaxbeard's Steam Power. Flaxbeard looks like a fun early game mod I think

Its been rather busy in rl this last week so not much time in minecraft :(. Over a few short play seesons I was able to get some mining and stuff built finally.

So lets see how the mining turned out. I went mining with 1 iron pick many stone picks, so torches and a hand full of apples. Apples are tasty.

The wall off goodies

All the other junk and a grind stone I made to get my iron earlier for my pick and a bucket.

So with all my spoils getting really lucky on ores and diamonds I decide to make my smeltery

I got luck with my iron finding and went right to the tool forage so I can make me my first generation hammer.

So smeltery and tool forage are made its time to make the 3 tools everyone makes

Now please don't linch me for how I made my first generation tools. I saw this idea in a youtube video and think the logic is sound. Yes you are seeing paper and stone for the tools.

And yes I know paper and stone gives low durability and low mining level

But adding one of the diamonds I got already more then doubles the durapplity and upgrades the mining level to obsidian. Cobble tools are so easy to repair who does not have extra cobble at this stage of the game for cheap fast repairs.

So with my new hammer in hand and my basement not at sea level its time to expand down so I can make my flaxbeard room.

Down we go

Hear is the room so far. 2 boilers feeding into 2 steam heaters to improve the speed of charcoal and smooth stone production. Jabba barrels hoppers and dollys got to love them. I am making everything with plates even though its faster to make brass in the the smeltery but I like experiencing what all a mod has. Getting the right rhythm with the crucible and casting mold takes a little bit.

Now not wanting to have to live with a bucket filling the boilers by hand I made 2 Archimedes Screws

Well with building at sea level only makes scenes to make an aqueduct for the water. Realism sometimes makes scenes and I am going for a more lets build things and look good not and not just that's all I need next project. I could have used a 3 by 3 infinite water source but did not.

So that's what I been up to last little bit things are starting to come along nicely I think. Just as I was looking after my gardens on my last play season I heard a very loud boom and had a surprise in my front yard.

It looks like I did not set my flaxbears boilers up right and we had a little to much pressure build up. I know have a love water feature in my front yard. I was planning for one some day in the future but not this soon.

I see everyone next time not sure on what I be doing next but I am sure work will be involved.

So been busy smelting smooth stone and burning through my chisels as I been doing more landscaping and a little building.

So I made a little bridge as I was getting teared of get always swimming This was the first build of the bridge it has been changed a little.

The bridge after the change. I pushed the stairs in 1 block that's the only real difference.

The reason the stairs got pushed back is because I placed down 2 more stairwells for me to use to get around. First one to get onto the lower terraces.

Second Stairwell so I don't have to run around to the front to get up to my house.

So with my bridge in place it was time to start some more terraforming.

So looking across from my house the area where my hole in the ground once looked like this

and now it looks like this

The the new look comes some cows and sheep I went and slowly herded back

The cows

The Sheep

[/spoler]

Lastly some areas that are still under construction that I need to finishes some time soon TM

Compared to where I normally can be by now playing in a world I am so far behind but I am enjoying it. More to come soon

Look behind you
I love it, keep up the good work!

Just a small niggle, I can't help feeling that those large, flat stone walls are a tad bland. Perhaps you could use more natural landscaping, with stone terraces where needed.

Good Day again all.

I really wish RL would stop getting in the way of having fun so much.

Thanks for the comment there @the_j485. I am currently planning the build around a 2 or more location setting. Right now the area where the house is is for Magic and low end tech mods where the area across the stream is going to be for more tech heavy mods and ideas. I have the first tech build coming up soon but have some stuff to show off before then.

Now lets get on to the pictures.

So I decided I needed to find some cactus so I could make some water proofing for build craft pipes so got some food sleeping bag and exploring I want.

I went and trekked through the large snow area near my base and I found and area cold enough for this dang Blizz witch is good to know for latter. But what I found near the end of the snow area was something I had never seen before.

This is the first time I have ever seen a snow village. This thing is so cool. How can the villagers live hear when they cant get the water to stay moving to plant there crops. This village is so big I call it a small town not a village.

This place has enough villagers to to need some heavy muscles. But I think the townes folk will not be to happy with him as he cant do much.

.

With there heavy muscle friend not around many a towns folk have taken to hiding.

After my first treat I found a great place that will help me later on.

This taint area will be great for thuamcraft when I get there. It is far enough away to not be loaded so it cant grow. The only bad thing about it is that it is close to the snow village.

So I decided to carefully go and find out what was on the other side of me the last treat and started to walk some more. I am glad I had some good hiking boots on and had the sleeping bag with me as it was a day later when I found my my next treat.

It seams that I have ran into a large walled town in my world. The people of this unknown town where friendly. They asked if I had been seen there friends in the snow town and how they where doing as they had not header from them in some time. I told them of the that they seemed to be making a fine town of there own and of there silly muscle defender. I also told them of taint that had grown between them and they did not like hearing that at all. Looks like I may have to come up with a way for defeat the taint for them so they can see there friends again.

So with a pack filled with goodies from trading with the villagers. A little crop work and cleaning up the messy library's I found left me with a good number of emeralds from my 2 stops. So I turned and headed for home.

I did not find what I left for in the first place but still felt the trip was worth it. I now have a goal to find a way to help the 2 towns some day. I did find some slime plants. So looks like I am going to have to detour into some botania when I get back home.

So see you all when the botania area is done.

So I been able to build my starting Botania area.

Now remember way back when I started I found these 2 guys?

Well the spot I found them has been Terra formed now. We have more stone I know and I will be changing a large amount of it when I start thaumcraft. Desided to reroute some underground water to help fill up the new built up area.

And yes some how a pig got in with my cows.

So that's what has became of the landscape. Now its onto the building my first Botania flowers and items.

First the work area

Let me guess you are saying that's no work area that's a stone wall. Well I say yes it is a stone wall and its also my work area, just go and step on the stone right there. (As you step on the stone you hear the sound of grinding stone)

A few tinkerers drawbridges, some red stone and, an inverted and you have a door that looks like magic. (this is the most complected thing built to date lol)

.

So we now have a work area its time to make some flowers. Going to spare you all the pointless shots of me making living wood and living stone but show you the making of cactus out of slime balls. So to do this cool witchcraft we need some mana making flowers, a mana spreader to move the mana, a mana pool and lastly a runic alter. Now hear is the fun bit I need 2 brewing stands and means 2 blaze rods. So off to the nether I go.

Neather trip highlights Good point spawn near nether fortress so easy blaze rods and nether wart. Bad Points ghast throwing fire balls at me as I spawn in and those large wasp hives just above me. So a few deaths later and damaged nether portals I am able to start digging to get down to the nether fortress. I have also ran into an odd bug well in the nether randomly the ground disappears and all I see are mobs cant move or do anything, a quick relog fixes it.

So now I got all the parts hears what it looks like

And now the cool stuff as the screen says 1 slime ball will make 1 cactus

The process in action

So that's all for today. Had some fun minuse the issues in the nether I ran into.

It looks like I have some one come and say high

Nice, I like your starter house :) Though if you want a teensy weensy bit of advice, I'd suggest experimenting with making the walls less flat, perhaps bring the stone parts of your house out one block? It's already a really nice house, but sometimes making the walls more three-dimensional can really make them look amazing. :)

So getting my first "Tech" Build area up and running has taken be a bit of time. I built a few things did not like them. So after a few play sessions I final came up with what I like.

So lets see the area I picked

So this area that was to the west and back

Has been terraformed.

So now that the build area has been cleared up lets see what I came up with for the building.

Its nothing to write home about but I do like it as a start

The front and side

The Back

So now we have the building lets get the power generating.

As you can already see you see that I am using flaxbeareds boilers to make steam.

My first set up for boilers

After I got the hobbiest steam engines up and running I found that I was not making enough steam so I had to upgrade 1 of the boilers to a flash boiler

So hear are the hobbiest steam engines that I made to turn the steam into power. Yes I know I could have used dynamos so I could have gotten more bang but wheres the fun in that you need to know you have room to upgrade later down the line not right now. I am using the valve thing that lets me convert flaxbeared steam into normal steam. The engine room is not in the building it is in part of the hill.

Second floor has other items from Flaxbeareds mod and room to increase the number of steam tanks I have as I need them.

The other room that is in the upstairs is the Ender IO Room.

I made the 3 basic machines from enter IO so far as I need them for the conduit I was needing.

With the choice of factory blocks and the industrial lights I like the feel of the building that I made. Therese more then likely going to be a 3rd floor build and the second floor getting expanded. I have yet to build my ore processing system with for flax beard and such.

Now what was all this for you may be asking.

This building was made right now to power my tree farm. My tree farm has bronze upgrade in them meaning I am making more wood then charcoal at his time.

Hear is the charcoal production I have 2 furnaces surrounded by 3 steam heaters.

I am planning to work a 3rd furnace with steam heaters into the system soon. I will be covering up all the pipes when I made my Ender IO painting machine.

So that's everything for this time around well got 1 more small thing to shoq.

I made myself some cool new armor. I have the jet pack, move assist, fall assist and, bronze plaits installed at this time.

So we have a little update today been doing some add-ons to the last build.

Where to start that is the question

Lets start with piping. I have improved the steam to my hobbyist steam engines and added on some more feeds.

Now what are some things that you need on harvest that are a pain to get?

Items that are a pain as you are always have to break them and plant them again and again are suger cane and cactus. So lets automate them shall we.

My barrels showing the what I have gotten so far. This includes a fair amount of work by hand.

I have 2 hobbyist steam engines power my 6 activators right clicking and a vacuum hopper to pick everything up.

Theirs another thing that comes in Handy to have automated.

Who does not like free XP? I know I do. So I have found a few XP bushes in my travels and have set them up on some activators. Used a vacume hopper and another activator feeding to some barrels to store my XP.

The steam coming into the room

Connection point where the mods meet

The room missing some flooring as I did not have enough stone on me

Thats it for today more to come soon

So today's build was a little lateral. Its not progression in a mod its more of making some homes and another smeltery. Using my blaze rods from the neather i made 2 golden lasso and snagged me 2 villagers. But I needed a place for them to live so I used the area behind where the cows and sheep are and beside the tree farm to make my own village.

I even gave them food I am fresh flowing water

Be very very quite we cant spoke the villager as he settles into its new home

So the villagers seem to like there prison I mean new home so much they decided to have baby's just wait I wanted them to do. (insert crazy mad laughter)

Now we need a way to remove the trades that are no good and not let the others know what is going on.

The villagers seem to not notices this lever on the wall

When flipped the wall comes down and we have some convaerer belts

Seeing that we have to many thaumcraft villagers I think we need to let them try it out.

Look I am so nice I am letting them see outside before anything happens

And with a flip of a switch I let them enjoy a nice hot pool

And look another friend to play with in the pool

So there we have it a smallish update that did take some time to build. Not sure what I am going to do next. Been wanting to start thaumcraft or maybe blood magic or expand and build the flaxbeard ore system. I just don't know what to do.

Look behind you
It's looking good, and any viallger sadism gets a like from me, but that tree farm is sort of bothering me. The two outermost layers of trees in that square will never grow, because the walls don't give them enough space.
