Sonar Goggles will not work, also Morph will not remove my old name (I changed it)

Details of the issue:I crafted the Sonar Goggles to help find rare ores and it does not work in the mod pack. The screen changes but there are no wireframes. If I move my head around I can sometimes get the wireframes to pop up a split second but they immediately disappear after making the item mostly worthless 
Also I changed my name on the Minecraft website and it shows fine in game, however Morph shows my old name as well as my new name. Is there a way to flush out the old name? I can't find a way to remove it as a favorite so it's in my wheel. I understand it may need to be changed on the server I'm playing on but if you could tell me what to change maybe I can just relay that to them to make it easy?
