Somewhat Noob Question About Pipes

Hello all, I'm new to the forum (but not to FTB), and I have a question about piping I was wondering if someone could help me with.

I currently host a SMP FTB server and have built a fully automated quarry/smelting plant/sorting and storage room. Everything ran fine during testing, but when I kicked the quarry on, my pipes began vomiting items all over the ground. I don't know why aside from the pipe just being too long; it is roughly 130m long. What really confuses me is not ALL of the items get bumped out of the pipes; some of them go in and process properly, but others just seemingly are randomly thrown out of the pipe. And it happens down the entire length of the pipeline, and partially inside of the smelting plant. And ideas?

Few random ideas:
Can you use item tesseracts instead? Less lag, faster, more awesome
I can't tell because of your texture pack, but are those iron pipes?
Is the pipeline chunkloaded?

Maybe a screenshot of the items inside moving / popping out could help.

I really haven't considered an item tesseract, but thats not a bad idea.
Those are cobble stone pipes with gold pipe speed boosters spaced out through the pipeline.
And I don't know if the pipeline is chunkloaded, I want to say it isn't as my base is about 150m from my quarry making the pipeline around 130m. I figured that might be the problem.

I would recommend you changing from using pipes to using tesseracts. As Bloblord said "Less lag, faster, more awesome."
You're using stone/cobble stone pipes correct (with some gold/diamond)? I used that texture pack for a time.
What FTB Modpack are you using?
I can be more help if there was a way for me to be on the server... Or me seeing the whole thing in action.
I have had to help my friends and other people with some problems on FTB.
My brother Gabe had this pipe problem once. We figured out that it was some sort of server "glitch" we fixed it by breaking and replacing all the pipes.

Chunk loading would not be a problem with the pipes "spitting" out items. At least it shouldn't. Chunk loading is what you want to do if it's too far away and you want it to run while you're gone.
If it is that long it would not be chunk loaded. You could try to chunk load and see if that fix's it.[DOUBLEPOST=1369587903][/DOUBLEPOST]

yes it is. Or should be. I used it not too long ago.

Random sidenote, the gold pipes need to be the whole pipeline rather than just spaced out like they used to be (they were nerfed) but at least they don't need a redstone signal

Anyway, I'm going to stick with tesseracts

Good to know. I ended up redoing the entire system, now it works flawlessly. I replaced the pipeline with a item tessarect and the engines with an energy tessarect. I like this design much better the my precious one because I can mine anywhere now.

Good to know. Really sorry that I could not get on to help. My computer was acting up these past few days (siblings messed it up big time), I just found out today. Darn. Happy that the stuff works for you know. If you would mind posting pics to me some time so that I could see the whole system in action....

You can just put an ender chest on top of the quarry.. It works perfectly.. Ann in the other side, just use an AE system, or a router connected to a looooooooooot of barrels.
