Some noob questions help please.

Hi guys iam very new to Minecraft and ive been messing around for a week now and first i found technic Launcher played it a bit and then ive read about FTB and gave it a try only to find out that it runs very poorly on my PC 40-60 fps but seams like 20 very anoying and tbh unplayable for me.
Btw ive tryed Direwold and unleached and both of them run very slow.

Some help would be apreciated would, realy would like to try FTB cause i seen some youtube videos about it and seams realy good.

Edit: forgot my machine specs

I7 3770k @ 4500
8GB ddr 3 2400mhz
Amd R9 280x - Latest drivers
Asus Maximus V Gene
Running Windows 8.1 <-- might be the issue ?

That system will be fine for running ftb. Add the jvm arguments from the thread here which is designed to help with heavily modded minecraft.

You are using 64bit java I assume.

I did install 64 bit java and the launcher lets me chose over 4 gb so i think its actualy using 64bit or iam i missing something? Just did the jvm argument testing now.

Still mad stutter like a old game reading from harddrive ( on Samsung 840 Pro SSD btw ) used same gfx setting on techic and flawless smood game i dont get it :( btw iam not using any texture packs atm testing with default install.

Right i folowed that guide and i still get same issue, but now ive read a bit more about it and on the console i get this error :

Memory connection overburdened; after processing 2500 packets, we still have 1 to go!
