Some mods aren't included in some modpacks

Hello fellow FTB players,

I play multiplayer with the Mindcrack FTB pack, but Portalcraft and Mystcraft are missing in those, which are one of my favorite mods. So I looked at other modpacks, like the Direwolf pack, but Twilight Forest is missing there. Are those mods ever going to be added or would that cause some incompability (im not sure if I spelled that right) issues or maybe they wont those mods included in the modpacks? I really hope there comes an ultimate modpack with all the mods that are now spread out over all the different modpacks. Do you guys have some information on this?

They may or may not be added to those packs. It depends on whether the people that commissioned those packs want them in or not. As for the "Ultimate" pack, they will most likely be included in it. But I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it, apparently they are waiting for a stable release of Mystcraft...

The Direwolf pack is controlled by Direwolf and includes the mods he wants to use. The Mindcrack pack is controlled by Guude and includes the mods the Mindcrack server members want to use. Mystcraft first wasn't up to date and then was bugged (or at least an interaction between it and Railcraft was), but it will be added to the Mindcrack pack when that's all sorted out.

There is an Ultimate pack coming.

The DW and mindcrack packs, being commissioned by specific people as they are, are tailored to those people's specific needs. As such, those packs likely won't be changing, unless the people who requested them ask for them to change.
There are plans for FTB to release an "ultimate" pack which includes both magic and tech mods, but last i heard, it was to be a "tailored" listing of mods, meaning that some mods will be cut from the list for thematic or balance purposes.

i "drag and dropped" extra bees and twilight forest into the DW pack to get what is basically the same as mindcrack with portal gun and mystcraft (sans greg tech)

clear enough? HA!
