Solving Missing ID Error

It's a easy job, honestly, if you're doing this for a mod pack rather then, say, a single person. Less updates = less things to fix and refix. But for a single person? I don't know how much you're paying, but I'm not super sure I'm willing to be a debug slave for any price. I am open to offers, though.

The only reason I would ever make a comment like this is purely based off the fact that multiple people who play on my server are relying on me to finish up this pack (which I was hoping to finish last week, until this curveball showed up). Unfortunately im not in the finical position to offer much. Really what it comes down to is I just need to figure this out (would help if my google searching found a video on the topic as I could just follow along without a problem).

If it's for a server, as a reminder, I offer pro boner. Always willing to help out a server owner, strangely enough. Mod packs, eh, isn't that @Eyamaz you need for this?

...Seriously, hit me up with a PM and we'll get started.

*sees thread* well looks like someone else can take it from here then :)

It's kinda my area of expertise, oddly enough. I mean, if I was a FTB Team Member(which would be cool), my title would be "Config Smasher" since that's basically what I do; take about a 100 conflicting configs and make 'em work together.

It's sort of a "the suffering only adds to the enjoyment when you succeed" sort of thing for me.

I tend to not have that many to worry about. I guess I've just been lucky that way. I remember when it first happened, "That's weird forestry bees can make rutebegas from harvestcraft?" I feel like more people would respect FTB for what they do if they ever tried making a custom pack from scratch without global configs as a starting point.

As an aside, I've been doing this since early beta, dying suns of alpha. After a while it just became second nature.

Also keep an eye on any items at 31998 (I think). Seems to be quite common for new item IDs to always be assigned to this, it doesn't always overwrite the existing item, but changes that items recipe. Number of times I've had some really weird recipes for Naquadah Ore drops from the stargate mod :P
