Alright, so before I get into this, I know the question on your mind is "Are you on peaceful?" No. I'm not on peaceful.

Anyways, I started playing my FTB world yesterday. Now that I'm getting into blood magic, and am at the point (Aka, very early on in it) that I need a good amount of LP for anything (More than I can supply myself without an absurd amount of time required), I need to hunt down hostile mobs. In all respects, I could use passive, but they don't give near as much LP as hostile mobs do.

Anyways, I have soul shards 2 added, and have found a rogue-like dungeons structure with spawners, but the problem is, I don't want to face it without going at it legitimately. In my world, for whatever reason, no hostile mobs spawn. Both passive and neutral spawn with no problem, but unless there is a spawner in the vicinity, no hostile mobs spawn, day or night, rain or shine, surface or underground. Any fixes for this?

Things I've tried:
- Checking difficulty (normal)
- Switching to LAN and doing /gamerule doMobSpawning true
- Switching to LAN and doing /difficulty 2
- MCEditing my small base into another world

So far nothing has worked for me.

Console log (For whatever help it may provide): http://pastebin.com/bCV3s1dE

Thanks a ton in advance for your help!

That is easily the best meme I have ever seen.

Anyways, getting a bit aggravated. I was really looking forward to conquering this dungeon xP.
Sorry; I can't really help, I haven't had this problem before.
Try a different world in creative so we can narrow it down to a mod problem or world problem. :)
Also, thanks for posting in the right section! :D

Just tried two worlds in creative, and both had hostile mobs in them, albeit very few for the difficulty I was in (Usually in vanilla I'm barraged when I play in normal difficulty)

Derail action undertaken: @RealSketch why don't you apply as moderator, you are very busy in moderating just about every post on this forum. I'm not trying to insult you, but it just is getting kinda out of hand lately.
Please remember that the staff is there, and will keep the place moderated.
Of course its okay to remind people sometimes, but not every single post you find, use the report button, that's what it is there for

I find the report button just annoys moderators, and with me; I'll just press it all the time.
I've been trying to stop doing it, and only since like 2 days ago; so give me a bit more time.
I was joining in the discussion, and actually near solved his problem; I only mentioned how he posted in the right section, nothing more, nothing less.
Sorry if I had insulted you.[DOUBLEPOST=1398425865][/DOUBLEPOST]

Okay; this narrows it down to a world problem...

No insult taken :) I just think it is a bit much and wanted to inform you in such a way, that no insult should be taken, nor should any insult be needed :)
So in that way,

Okay; this narrows it down to a world problem...

The problem with that is (I could easily take a worldedit schematic and import it into a different world along with the dungeon I see) I have done that around four times, and every time I create a world in survival, the problem continues. Mob spawning is poor even when I'm in creative, even in hard mode.

Alright, (I know this is a double post, but would rather do this than edit, since it's a valid addition), I have fixed the problem. I started disabling some of the mods I added to the pack in addition to it's normal ones, and it seems that Lycanite's mobs was causing the problem. Once I disabled it, mob spawning was right back to where it usually is (Is this a good or a bad thing that I just did..?)

Anyways, thanks everyone for trying to help me fix it. Now to go get soul shards...

Great! I've had trouble with Lycanite's Mobs, I disabled it due to them being annoying and too OP!

See...I didn't ask him to put "Solved"...:)

we are going to have to start an intervention soon, maybe using leather straps and duct tape
.....:(
