Hum... so, I'm doing a JamPacked map/modpack... and I was customizing some stuff, making a crafting material that I would like to be usable infinite times (kinda like how the minium stone works, but no durability here).. Is this possible? I've seen the creator say it's in planned features, but is it already in there? I really don't want this to be a one-time use thing.

Yes. The minetweaker 3 wiki says this under advanced recipes.

No it doesn't.. I already went there BEFORE making this thread, and it only mentions it being a planned feature.
"More functionality will soon become available in the form of transformers, making it possible to reuse items and have items damaged upon used or to have custom functions define crafting output. However, it's not yet fully implemented"

If you have anything that doesn't get used up when crafting normally (e.g infusion stones from Magical Crops) it will keep its crafting properties automatically with MineTweaker recipes. Found this out with beast block

I'm using a custom item with Tabula Rasa :(

+1 for excellence.

I think items that don't get consumed are coded to be that way, which is beyond Tabula Rasa.
You can do it like that, but when a item only doesn't get used in one recipe, you can give a copy of the item back to the player when the item is crafted.. I'm pretty sure. Not 100% sure, though.

Technically, Tabula Rasa could do it if it wanted to -- if I understand correctly what I just googled up, it just needs for the item to declare itself as being its own container item (compare: "bucket of milk" has the container item "empty bucket"). @King Lemming?

That's not possible with Tabula Rasa. Not if I understand your explanation, Tabula Rasa just allows for texture modification and display name modification by itself. You can add usages and recipes to the item with MineTweaker.

It's possible if the author wants to make it so. It's a minor addition to the code on top of what he's already got.

I was saying at the moment... but yes, I guess it would be easy. But I just realized, that's not even what I want. I want the item to NOT get used up, but what you said was to get transformed into something else, and that's not what I want.. would that be easy too?

EDIT: I'm not even sure if it's something worth adding at the time, it'll soon be in MineTweaker 3, it's already in 1.7, so it's just a matter of waiting.

EDIT 2: Apparently it's already in 1.6.4, but the wiki din't update. I just read the thread on MCF, and he replied to me saying it's already in, it simply wasn't updated. So, neat. Problem Solved.
