Alright I have a dilemma and a solution, I just wamt to know if it's gonna work or blow up in my face. Any input is appreciated. I am currently in a Savannah biome and well there's no aura nodes anywhere near so im running to town all the time to charge certain items. I slightly tired of it and almost done with the research required to move nodes. My theory is going to the closest edge of the Savannah where it changes, plant a silverwood and then drag the node over. Good plan right?

it could work, what i am more interested in is the fact that your savannah has no aura

Yea thats what i found as odd. Theres aura levels but i have to run about 200 ish block to some sand next to the lake to charge anything.

You'll generate a bunch of flux, depending on how far you're moving the node, but otherwise there's no issue with moving the node itself.

Odd, my worlds spawn was a wasteland and it had a node practically in the middle of the wasteland. It wasn't strong, only 180 or so, but certainly existed.

With the v8 Mindcrack update and equivalent DW you should be able to radically move a node, but Silverwood planting and merging won't really move nodes very far. I dunno the exact limit, but I know 20 is too far.

How come when I moved my node the night before last and then logged in last night the node had reset back to it original position... after two moves?

Maybe the nodes got regenerated somehow? Or some sort of world rollback occurred.

Or just regenrate the nodes using the config

Well, the problem seems to be that the node regenerated already, so...

Yes, my base was also arualess, so I planted silverwood at the ednge of nearest aura and then draged it with new nodes near to my base. you can use the hoe of growth to quickly grow them.
