And I put together a IC2 Exp HV Producer. Then I go to look at some glass fibre cables to get the power to the new room.

Am I reading this correct? I need EIGHT diamonds to make ONE unit of glass fibre cable?

If so, I guess I can kiss my hopes of having flight anytime soon goodbye (playing Tech World 2.)

Yes and no, it is a bit bugged in NEI. It is a bit less diamonds IIRC. Nit that exoensive, you have cheap quarries anyhow

I think it works out as 1 diamond per unit of glass fibre.

(technically this is 4x cheaper, as the cable now carries 16x the power)​
